I'm surprised there hasn't been many updates on this property in a while:
I thought I'd chime in and say that after seeing 2 different rooms last week I left the hotel for another. Thankfully they must be used to it and the very nice guy at the front desk said he'd waive any pre-departure charges or credit card authorizations "just like i'd never been there".
Rooms are very dated, stuffy, had stains on the carpet and even on the "club level" there were no added amenities (water, bath gel, mouthwash, etc.) but there was someone smoking next door
I had thought my "ambassador" watching over things would have ensured at least a clean room, but clearly whoever is running this property does not care.
Stay away from The Sheraton Manhattan. You can do much better. Starwood can do much better.
