Best place/type of SIM card for quad band cell phone?

Am headed to Hong Kong and Beijing in a few weeks, with my quadband Razr in hand. Still have credit on the SIM card purchased at the HGK 7 Eleven last April, so that base is covered...at least for Hong Kong.

Anyone have a suggestion for the best place to pick up a SIM card in Beijing? Can I get one at PEK as easily (and inexpensively) as I did a HKG last April?

All calling will be international, unless I get into a pickle and need to call the hotel from a hutong somewhere.

Next step: Figuring out how to check my remaining credit on the year-old SIM chip....
