In a small month I am flying an award ticket from ZYR to IAD thru CDG on AF, where I can select my seat. However, returning from IAH to BRU via AMS on KL seat selection has been enabeld on the IAH-AMS segment... However BRU-AMS is.

The same week my dad and his girlfriend are flying AMS-ATL-AMS on KLM. AMS-ATL is unavailible for seat selection while the return is availible.
