I called the SuperElite concierge desk for Beijing, and apparently there is a transit desk, but I have to clear immigration before I can get to it. Both flights are at Terminal 3, so that's not a bad thing.

I have a double entry visa, so no issue there, though it now means I may need to get another visa if I have to go back soon.

This is ridiculous - the things one does to get upgraded - ideally I would have just flown out of Seoul. Not to mention, Amex screwed up the ticketing and only did a one-way ticket on Beijing-Seoul-Beijing, so have to spend an extra 30 mins here in Incheon Airport while they try to sort it out and had to end up buying the ticket again.
T3 stretches 3.5km from one end to the other, but I think only Concourse E is open for now. So all your flights should be within that concourse.
