i prefer the port side of the aircraft as I can see the pennine hills and where I grew up. I was looking out of the widow from the B seat and the lady in A asked if I knew where we were. Was able to point out the cat and fiddle pub with authority. She thought I must fly this route a lot. I was able to agree but forgot to mention 20 years of living nearby.
