Assuming you're interested in upgrading,and that you're Silver Preferred (by your nickname), then you're at the very bottom of the queue, regardless of when you check in.
Also, unless you have systemwide certs and/or transatlantic upgrade certs, plan to spend 30,000 miles each way to upgrade.
Q fares are the lowest discounted fares that can be upgraded. As a SP, you are at the bottom of the upgrade queue anyway, and if other SP are booked on higher-fare tix, they'll be ahead of you even if they check in at the last minute.
