It is funny how the little things can make a trip memorable. I fly on AS quite a lot and the Lead FA often comes around the F cabin offering a handshake and a personalised thanks like "Thank you so much for choosing our airline Mr Tony2X" and then sometimes even coming into Y shaking the hands of the MVPGs. It really makes my flights to get such friendly service in the air.
I had a CSD say to me the other day "The Executive Club asked me to come and welcome you", which almost sounded like "If I had my way I would ignore you". In fact the lady concerned was delightful, though I did object slighly to her and the purser constantly ribbing my about a mythical hot date I was supposed to be expecting in IAD.
