Neat thread. Here have been my recent experiences:

LAX-SEA: Full flight, offered to be bumped, didn't get bumped to the next flight, but the GA seemed to appreciate my flexibility and bumped me to F from E- (this was the last flight I took before I hit premier).

ORD-SEA: Full flight, offered to be bumped, bumped to next flight, got free r/t voucher and bump to F from E+.

I also recently got 2 SWU (one for me, one for a friend) for a ticketing change that took about 45 minutes due to some computer technicalities and confusion between the desk agent and UA's ticketing office. That was lucky! I wasn't expecting (and didn't even ask!) and she popped up with a SWU for both of us and apologized for how long it took.
