since its still a few months off maybe it will change again to where you can connect, dont cancel it out yet but do make backup plans, you can also call CO and see what they have in mind but if its favorful make sure they note your PNR thusly and maybe still wait to see if you can same day connect

I'm looking at the schedule for late July, and I see the problem. There is valid CO metal BWI-EWR-MYR if you're willing to do that. Alternatively CO has a lot of codeshares on DL metal DCA-ATL-MYR, so I don't think switching to a codeshare will be a problem at all.
