I have a trip across the pond coming up in July and Mrs. Gogie and I will be enjoying the comfort of J class on AC's 777 (300ER version). Given the concerns that have been voiced recently, how safe are these planes? Apparently Rolls-Royce is redesigning the engines for these birds, but they won't be installed for anywhere from 6 months to a year. In the meantime there's no suggestion that they should be grounded coming from safety regulators. Does this issue only affect the 200 version or does it impact all versions of the 777?
