I booked an award ticket on LH on 05 March in the late morning.

I checked my bmi AmEx and the bmi DC account to see that nothing had been taken with respect to the booking.

I phoned the ICC this morning to ask what was going on. They said, after investigating with administration, that there were many bookings before mine and that it was going to be ticketed today anyway. However, as I had phoned, they will ticket it in the next 20 minutes.

Just checked CheckMyTrip now and there is now an e-ticket number.

But was just wondering - if I hadn't checked up on it, would I have been left with a booking reference which was useless?
