I'm sure I'm not the only one in this predicament. I suspect there's a fair chance I will get laid off within the next few weeks. If I do get the axe, I thought it might be a good idea to travel somewhere for a month before coming back home to look for another job.

So if you were in my place, where would you go? I'm looking for some suggestions. I have lots of AA, UA, and Aeroplan miles. I also have some ANA miles. I have about 150k HH points, 80k SPG, and 90k Hyatt.

Ideally, I would like to fly business or first class but I want to use no more than 150k for a ticket. I'd like to minimize using my hotel points. Instead, I'd like to stay in cheap but clean and safe accomodations (< US$50 per night). The first place I thought of was Bali. Here's an example:
