Did you try the I.D. code HIPROMO for Kauai? That's with Alamo. It gave me an SUV for about $20 more than your PL bid. It's also refundable.

Conventional wisdom is to only use Priceline or Hotwire as you get close to your departure date. Ya never know what emergency will force you to cancel your trip & then bye, bye money.
