Watch out if Direct Energy has a cancellation fee.

Last fall I cancelled my Alberta direct energy plan to move to Enmax. I was charged around $200 for cancelling. It's in the fine print once you receive your confirmation plan. However it's never mentioned by the sales reps.

Electricity is cheap in London at 5.6 cents. I checked Direct Energy in Alberta and they were charging 11.59 cents in February. I locked myself in at 8 cents for 5 years with Enmax
