I'm DL Platinum/Skyteam Eliteplus and usually that is supposed to give you and a guest entry into Skyteam lounges, but I've heard some stories from colleagues about AF lounges in Paris not allowing Platinum entry, especially when they are close to capacity.

I have a 5 hour layover and am coming out of a long, long workweek and would love to have time to unwind in CDG. There appear to be 2 Air France lounges in CDG terminal 2C, so if anyone with experience can share tips and stories on gaining access there with a Platinum medallion card and a coach ticket, I'd appreciate it.
Well, there is one (airside) Departures lounge and one (landside) Arrivals lounge. The latter is restricted to passengers arriving on long-haul flights. Since AF moved most of its long-haul flights to 2E, there should not be, IMHO, capacity problems in the departures lounge any more.
