Hi,

I have a question regarding baggage charges.

I'm booked in a few weeks from LHR to JFK in Club World on a BA Ticket (booked with miles)

I've made a seperate reservation from JFK to MCO in Economy with a American Airlines reservation (booked with a travel voucher)

I've been advised that I will be able to have my luggage checked through from Heathrow to Orlando at Heathrow (and vice versa), albeit with the need to clear customs. However will the check in agent at both ends make me pay the American Airlines Baggage Fees ?

Will it be a pain to pay it, ie seperate queue at the ticket counter or something?

Also, does a child car seat count as checked baggage ?

I know I wouldn't have had this trouble if I had done it under one PNR, but it wasn't possible this time.
