We fly a lot of crews from LGW to MAN, GLA, EDI be they VS, Thomas Cook, First Choice, etc. They travel in Economy, not J. And that includes flight deck crew.
Some staff may have a priority code for J and we will seat them there if space, but don't believe travelling crew are always in J. 90%+ of the time they're in Y.
