Great list, W2B! But, I must take exception to this one suggestion. The worst and most dangerous snorkeling I ever attempted was near these properties -- after 5 minutes, I ripped my mask off and swam for shore. What a waste of time. Later, we were told by most everyone that there is simply no quality snorkeling on GBI. I would strongly recommend against anyone's going to GBI expecting a great snorkeling opportunity.

I know the snorkeling in certain Out Islands of the Bahamas is supposed to be really good. I saw that the web sites for those resorts indicated snorkeling as an activity and being that it's not at Nassau, I figured how bad could it be?
At least now I know not to pack my snorkel gear if I'm only visiting *W resorts at the Bahamas.
