Hi hockey7711, assuming both of you were added to the upgrade standby list because your waitlist expired, the tie-breaker is the Elite status of the account from where the miles were withdrawn. The second tie-breaker is the type of ticket (rewards and reward upgrades are treated the same). The third tie-breaker is the time you're added to the upgrade standby list.

To clarify, our PR-1 status is reserved for displaced front cabin fare paying customers. The generic status for OnePass front cabin travel and upgrade rewards is PR-2, which falls just behind expired waitlists, which are just behind PR-1s. The tie-breaker for both PR-1 and PR-2 is the time you're added to the upgrade standby list.
