1. How much did you pay?
2. How much did the person who flew Virgin pay?
3. What proof did the person who flew Virgin show them?
4. Did you ask BA if they offered a bereavement fare?
5. In what way was the 'fare was exorbitant for the service received'?
6. What efforts have you made since to get a discount? What was the answer that you received? It may be that the fare you paid is less than the bereavement fare that BA offer (if, indeed, they do)
7. Did you check the fare on any other airline before flying? I appreciate that you needed to get to JFK in a hurry, but you clearly have access to the internet and a phone.
