I know its now a moot point but I'll support the Lamy suggestion. I have had one of their safari ball points since I was 8 so 23 years. I am on my 3rd iteration - chewed through the first two during school and undergrad. I have had one of thier safari fountain pens for a good 10 or so years. Its about the only fountain pen I can write with that doesnt make my writing look like chicken scratches (I'm left handed). Traveled all around the world with them and never any problems with leaks.
