DON'T recline until we reach cruising altitude / seatbelt sign is turned off!

Been a long time since my last AA flight. Didn't know it would be so much fun:

Last friday, American Eagle (or something), DSM-ORD, seated in 2A (single row). Taking-off and after, like, 1 minute, guy in 1A trying to make himself at home. Tough task on the ERJ, even tougher given his belt extension...

It didn't take long and with a little help from the tilted (still climbing) plane and Newton's laws, he finally figured it out:

American Eagle ERJs have fully reclining seats! @:-)

The bad news now: He landed his seatback on my knees : o u c h : Man, was it painful with a cap P!

We came face-to-face, (well, the upside-down version) and he was looking at me embarrassed and in awe!

The others were laughing.

I gave him a hug on the spot!

Told him to relax. Then I realized that his relaxing would cost me a visit to my Ortho

PS Sorry, no pictures, altho I was really tempted!
