Well, the difference is night and day between the new T2E lounges and all the others. Those at 2F, 2B, 2C are all cramped, narrow, in need of a major upgrade (additional toilets/lavatories would be a huge improvement, for one), and SRO (standing-room-only) during the peak hub connection times. While food offerings may be similar, the 2F,B,C lounges are clearly a generation or two behind the T2E ones...
Agreed - the TE2 lounges are among the best I've seen, spacious - no sitting on top on other passengers - with an awesome array of food and drink offereings. If I had to plan a long layover at CDG, that's where I'd want to be
