Update: I called the EXP desk, and the agent there said that I'm definitely entitled to a refund. So, she submitted the request and told me to check back in a couple of days. My guess is that I'll get back about $115, and lose 1,000 EQM and 1,000 bonus miles. A good trade in my book.
