Arlington parking for DCA -- a good idea, or not?
I've got need for longterm parking at DCA. My recollection is that there are no private lots, only the airport's longterm lot, which I think is now $12.

I recall reading somewhere that you could park on the streets of Arlington and take the Metro. Is that still possible, and is it a good idea?

Otherwise, is there any realistic alternative to the airport lot?
