i've had people tell me their occupancy...the place i am tonight is less than 30%....with a whopping 10 arrivals...of which 3 showed up in the hour i sat in the lobby waiting for my dinner to show up....took 1.25 hours as opposd to the 45 minutes they said...BUT...the hotel over achieved again and gave me 2 happy little bottles of merlot...for free.....^
Checking in at a SAN area MR property last year they had a list of nearby hotels (MR and non-MR) with exactly the number of available rooms for that night listed. They were walking folks to them.
