Updating this thread with a quick review of the Residence Inn Bricktown on Reno, about .5 miles from the Courtyard and Cox Convention Center, across the street from the AT&T baseball field and between Sonic Hamburger's HQ and the Bass Pro Shop.
I satyed here for three nights attending a convention and had one of the most pleasant stays at any Marriott property I have been to. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Since the hotel was full, breakfasts got crowded. Not only were they willing to remain open past the normal cutoff, but they also added additional tables to ensure everyone could be seated. While sitting, plates were cleared and drinks refilled by the staff multiple times. One lady even remembered my drink preference from the day before and brought me the same thing the next morning without me even asking. They changed the breakfast menu each of the three days I was there. Front Desk was great with checkin/checkout and assisting in calling for cabs and other help.
The property has a small exercise room with two brand new treadmills, an eliptical, stairmaster, and one set of hand weights. There is also an outdoor pool.
On weekdays, there is parking by permit ($6) and I saw a valet stationed there on Friday night. I (and a few others, I suspect) used the adjacent Bass Pro Shop parking lot to park with no issues and skipped the parking fee.
The property is quite close to I-40, so there was a lot of highway noise and one can hear the trains on the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe line that's nearby (I would suspect the trains are even louder at the CY). I had a one bedroom suite with two queens and a sofa bed and shared it with two others; we found the room spacious enough to share in confort. The full kitchen and dishwasher was nice to have.
There were many food options within walking distance (Earl's Ribs Palace and Sonic are next door, there is a Starbucks just a bit further, and all of the bars and restauants in Bricktown are there). Walking along the river to the Convention Center was nice; it's about a mile to the Downtown points of interest like the Murrah bombing site and Art Musuem. It was also very easy to pick up the Spirit Trolley at the stops near the hotel and ride the lines to other points of interest.
Overall, a great property with very, very friendly staff. The GM will be getting a very complimentary email from me shortly.
