Easiest directions-
Take the Grand Central Parkway over the RFK/Triboro bridge- stay to the left and go to the Bronx ( Major Deegan Expressway) You will pass the new and old Yankee Stadium. Just stay on that road and it takes you right onto the NYS Thruway. Take the thruway to exit 16 stay to the right and there is a lane that goes right to it. It will take you about 1- 1 1/2 hrs. There are tolls on the bridge both ways and you will go over the Tappan Zee Bridge over the Hudson- but only a toll on the way back. When you get off at exit 16 there is another toll ( on the way down there is one by Armonk!)
Go early- parking lot fills up fast!
Coach and Burberry get the most crowded.

There is nothing along the way except a rest stop with fast food.

At the Common there is a foodcourt and an Applebee's.

Just down the road are two strip malls. One with Target, Wal-Mart, HomeGoods, Best Buy, TJ Maxx etc. There are one or two chain restaurants- forgot which!
The other has Kohl's and the Eileen Fisher outlet. There is a Friday's there.
