Am rather to hear glad I'm not the only one, but very sorry that this inane money making scheme (thiny disguised as appears new rules) appears to be here to stay.

My bag was slightly over regulation size. I am keen to find out if a nice bag bought elsewhere but of regulation size will be allowed, or if they insist on the skanky plastic ones (have a feeling it's the latter). If I have to use these bags every time I fly, my travel experience has just got a lot less pleasent, and might even tempt me to return to checking bags.

It would be good if BA1A and those flying through MAN this week can keep us posted as to which way the wind's blowing. I'm out of the game for 12 days until my next trip, so hopefully we have a bit more clarity by then.
