I just realized when I started thinking about scenarios like this.

It was the movie "French Kiss" with Meg Ryan and Calvin Kline.
He planted a stolen diamond necklace and a potted vine in her
backpack, in order to avoid being discovered by the French
customs.

so you guys are saying stuff like this does NOT happen in real life?
