Looking at a seat map is never a good indication that a flight is or is not overbooked. Are you MVP or Gold? If not, the exit row seats and those forward of the exit row will appear assigned tro you but may be avaialble for assignment to an elite.

That being said, VDB compensation would not include hotel accommodations if you are at the starting point of your itinerary. IDB has different provisions and depends on the distance you are from your domicile.
