well, there's a reason I started thinking about this issue... at the Toronto hotel I mentioned, the valet used my vehicle without authorization, to put it kindly. He and his girlfriend took it out after midnight for a drive. They left me some "souvenirs" under the seat. I did not discover this "souvenir" until a week later when my detailer was vacuuming my car at my office garage. Along with the souvenir, there was an opened pack of cigarettes in the armrest storage. I haven't never smoked in my life, so they were obviously left there.

Needless to say, I wasn't too hapy about it. I called the hotel and spoke to the manager. She tracked down the manager on-duty that night and eventually found out which parking valet had done it. Well, there's justice in the world because only three days after I had checked out, the valet was fired from his job for doing something else even worse. He had used one of the guestrooms without authorization. (no surprise there, since he did the same thing in my car)
