Why we should even have to pay for internet/wifi is beyond me. If they want to recover the cost of installing/maintaining the infrastructure they should just add a couple bucks to the daily room rate and be done with it. Instead hotels that charge (astronomical rates) for internet just end up looking bad imo.
So lets get this right those who do not want/need/have use for internet use should have to pay extra for those who cant live without or are not able or too lazy to seek cheaper sources.
How about this would you pay extra just to have a minibar in your room even if you dont use it? The markups on miniibar items are probably multiples of the internet charges.
