IC Frankfurt (March 6/09 for 1 night)

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
So-So

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Reserved Standard King and received Deluxe King

How are the rooms?
The Deluxe room is larger than the Superior room...please see description below.

How is the exec. lounge?
Don't know

What was good and what was bad?
I joined Ambassador in January this year and received Royal Ambassador yesterday!!! ^^
Since this is my first stay as an RA, I am uncertain whether I received a "proper" RA upgrade. As an Ambassador, I had previously been upgraded to a Superior room on a high floor overlooking the river. I had read in the RA literature that I should receive an upgrade to either "an Executive room or a suite". Although the Deluxe room was very nice (larger corner room with windows on 2 sides overlooking the river), I didn't think that I was on an "Executive" floor. I called Guest Services and was informed that a Deluxe room is the same as an Executive room and that I had received a double upgrade as an RA. Does that sound right? I'm new to this, so I would appreciate feedback from "veterans".

I received the mineral water and fruit (3 nectarines), but there was no welcome gift. I called Guest Services and they sent up an lanyard (?) for hanging your employee ID card around your neck (for example). By the way, I stayed here a week ago as an Ambassador only and they forgot the welcome gift then as well. That time they sent up what might be a letter opener...I still haven't figured out what it is!!

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Not my favourite, but at a corporate rate of 99 EUR, I would return, even if it is just to build up my IC nights
