I haven't been paying attention until today when I flew into San Antonio on another airline. DL has invaded and wiped NW off the map. No NW ticket counters, a sign directs them to DL. No NW flights, they have all been renamed DL. So there's a DL flight to Memphis, etc.

This is so sad. Even if DL invaded, it would have been nicer to keep the NW name even if the HQ was in Atlanta. DL only has name recognition in the South. Everywhere else, they are nobodies. Of course, NW has not so good name recognition in the South and Southwest.

Goodbye, NW. Yesterday, I stole about 12 paper luggage tags for future use. I'll use them for the next 12 years or so. Every year, I'll put one on. If it wears out, I might use another airline but put a new NW one on occasionally. I've don't that with TWA but my TWA supply is gone.
