The ruble has tanked in the last few months, so I'd think about that.

I havent ruled out the possibilty of going to Russia by DIY the land portion yet. I tried to have Trafalgar's local operater quoting me a hotel + day tour pkg but still havnt heard back from them after almost a week

Have you been there before? Do you know whether Visa registration will be a problem if I book my own hotels in the two capitals? thx
