If I had paid more attention at the time of rebooking, I'm sure I could have addressed it on the 2nd of March. In the end, I was pleased to have a seat and able to get to my destination.
Thoughts ?
Many times the rebooking is done by computer. Yes, DL will take care of their Elites first. No clue of knowing for sure, but it is possible that the direct flight wasn't available when your itinerary came up for rebooking and hence the multiple segments. I'm sure if you called on that day of cancellation (and if you could have gotten through), the agents would find a more favorable routing, if not the non-stop.
