As I'm sure you can imagine, choosing which words to censor is an imperfect science, to say the least. What is perfectly acceptable to one can be exceptionally offensive to another.

We try hard to maintain a balance between minimizing the number of censored words and disallowing words that are offensive to many. We'll never achieve a perfect balance. The best we can hope for is to allow as many words as possible, and ask that those who are not offended by some of the censored words be understanding that others likely are offended by those very same words.
