The company will pay for my accommondation in hotels during the week days and I have a list of preferred suppliers to choose from.

Which hotel chain should I choose? Where can I get the best deal when it comes to earning points/benefits?

Most of my flights will probably be with BA. Can I somehow combine my flight miles with a hotel bonus programme?

Thank you and best regards,

You say that you have a list of "preferred suppliers". Does this mean your employer has deals with certain hotel chains? What is your ultimate goal for the points/miles.

Sometimes hotels give airline miles as opposed to hotel "points". I know the Hilton brand gives you a choice of points and miles, or points and more points.

If you have to rent a car you can usually get hotel points or airmiles with the rental.

If you get to pay for the car, airfare, and hotel room and then get reimbursed from the company make sure and get a branded credit card to get even more points/airmiles.

The best thing is to see which chains have the type of accommodations in the right price range in the cities you will be staying in. If you will be in London every week it's very helpful to build a rapport with a hotel. Then you can leave basic things for the hotel to hold until you return. Makes the traveling every week much easier.
