Sitting on UA181 from BOS-SFO and the FA just said that they can't check any bags because of weight reasons and if any passenger's bag can't fit in the overhead bins or under the seat the passenger would have to take another flight. As she put it, "One checked bag, one passenger have to leave".

That doesn't make sense at all, anyone know why she'd say something like that?
