Went through T3 for the first time this afternoon. Absolute trek from BA Checkin area (Zone G) to the security m/cs. Even though travelling in ET was allowed to use fast track.

Luckily got waved past the shoe check!

Ignored the BAA shopping mall and headed towards the H lounges, and went into the AA First class lounge. Welcomed warmly - much typing of info from BP and Gold card.

Lounge is relatively small but had lots of nooks and crannies. Temperature was bl**dy cold, but then this is an AA lounge! There is only one departures display by the desk and the lounge guardian pointed out that they don't call anything other than AA flights.

One irritating thing was that from the lounge windows I could see two IB flights happily connected to jetties! If IB can (and AY) why not BA.

Headed off to gate 24 which is a good 5 mins or more walk from the AA lounge, Down an escaltor to the gate area and found my sub-gate. As expected two busses waiting. Were called to busses by one of the gate ladies shouting! No PA (as yet).

Bus ambled off to the remote stand which was 186 - last of the T1 EI gates!

So in all not too bad an experience. Will report back on the return trip tomorrow.
