1. If there is no awards available on the nonstop mainland-OGG, will I be allowed to fly to OGG via HNL with HA (no stop-over)? Since there will an interisland flight in the routing, will it be considered one award to Hawaii that costs 35K miles? Or is it 35K plus 10K for the interisland?
2. Is there any place online where I can find the availability of HA seats using AA miles, or using any miles for that matter?
3. I'm thinking about going in September, do I have a good chance to get 2 seats in coach if I book in the next couple of months or so?
Thanks!
Check the available awards now, there are lots of outbound in Sept
but the return flights in Sept are filling up - never makes any sense.
I don't think AA lets you connect in HNL regardless unless you pay
additional miles. There are direct flights from LAX and DFW to OGG
and I think you would have to route it that way.
I don't think you can find HA seats using AA miles on line, you have to
call the AA agent and then of course pay the ticketing fee.
Lastly, I would book now, if better dates show up you can change with
no fee assuming same departure and destination city.
