This was the first time that a bank ever refused me a credit card. Sure we like to churn different cards for points, but with an excellent credit score and never a late payment, no one ever rejected my application before. Perhaps the current economic climate is making them take a harder look at the applicant's situation in regard to the number of open CC's? The reason given was too many credit cards opened lately. In pursuit of hotel/airline points, it has always been like that for me and no one ever blinked before. Did other people in this forum have a similar experience? Just curious.
