You recently received a mailing from Avis letting you know that your membership status has changed from AVIS FIRST™ to Avis® Preferred® Service. Unfortunately, the Wizard Number that was printed on your new Avis Preferred Service member card was missing the last character.
A new Avis Preferred Service card, that will include your correct six-character Wizard Number, will be mailed to you shortly.
Your Wizard Number has not changed. Should you need your Wizard Number for an Avis reservation, you can refer to the Wizard Number on your AVIS FIRST membership card.

OK...what criteria are they using to make someone Avis First? I was Avis First until I got the same letters you all got....but I've been renting with Avis a lot! I did get some upgrades, but as some of the statements here...there really is no difference is you're First or Preferred IMHO.
