I booked a trip in October from PDX-OGG. I'm on the wait list for an upgrade to F. Does anyone know when they typically release seats for upgrades? Is there even a "typical" timeline? I was told that I could either wait until 72 hrs before my flight to be eligiblefor an upgrade or that I could use one of my upgrade coupons and make the jump as soon as the seats were released.

Is my best bet just to call AS every week to see if the seats have opened up?
