Having done a BBQ tour through Texas Hill Country last summer, I think I can opine:

Cooper's did indeed have some good 'que (and good sausage, too), but as for brisket (my fav), The Salt Lick was far better. The only competition to the Salt Lick, in my opinion, would be City Market in Luling. That was some fine eatin'. ^
