You may have better luck than me, but we are only talking about the tourist tax visa of about US$30. The airport exit tax applies to everyone that leaves on that plane, at least that is what I was told here in Mexico at the CO office.
That is actually not correct. You can buy tickets here and get the Mexico Tourism Tax removed (see my earlier post). Now, buying fares here that are only available in Mexico is a different story.
