This is the kind of question that I think is really in the seams if you will of the current alliance information. I am constantly confused over some aspect os this being a CP and a UA 1K. Have you checked UA? They used to fly to India, they may have stopped in the cutback. I have flown LH 3 times as I recall, EWR-MUN, EWR-FRA and one way Manila to BKK. The first two were either 757s or 767s I seem to recall, the latter was a 744. The 744 was fairly comfortable in coach, the others were not. I did have an exit on the 744 which helped a lot. I would try to do it on UA, barring that I would get a UA FF account and have the miles put there. Sorry I couldnt be more help on this, hopefully people will figure this stuff out, right now I think it is very confusing.
