Have you thought about having them shipped over instead? That way they could be packed together in a long dress box and you wouldn't have to worry about carrying them around.

I disagree...My experience is that if you want something done
for sure then you need to do it yourself. Carry on to
KNOW that it will be there. Shipping costs more money and yet, in my experience, they still often screw it up.
Our friend carried on to CUN in a big poofy dress bag. Mind you that wasn't AC either...they would probably make her throw it on the jetway for a gate-checking!
