I just rebooked a 1 day MR I had scheduled out of IAD tomorow.

The agent on the 1K line did not know what the travel waiver was and had to get a supervisor. Then she made sure that I knew that this was a 1 time only change and that they were doing me a favor. I said, "Listen, I'm doing this as much for you as I am for myself. You may need my seat tomorrow to move the pax that were cancelled today. Or at the very least you don't want to worry about my travel problems when you cancel my 6AM flight out of IAD."

I told the agent that I had already checked to see that the same fare bucket was still available on the same flights next week, but she did not seem to think that it mattered.

Anyway, we got it done. I'm just surprised that a 1K agent seemed so inexperienced.
